Rush for Berlin features four campaigns, totaling 25 missions, that focus on the final year of World War II. Players can choose to command the Western Allies, the Soviets, the French, or the Germans. As the Western Allies, players begin with the breakthrough of crossing the Rhine River, while as the Soviets, players start out during their Baltic campaign of early 1944. Commanding the French, players lead Resistance fighters in an effort to free their country, and finally, the German campaign has players defending against two invading armies.<br><br>Each nation's army has its own Officers unit, which possesses unique skills and abilities specifically matched to the military style of its army. The precision of German tank warfare, the propaganda attacks by the Soviet Commissar, and the Allied supply efforts, using planes to bring in reinforcements, are all military tactics that can affect strategy and gameplay.<br><br>In addition, Rush for Berlin offers fans of WWII real-time strategy games a number of "what-if" scenarios, surrounding Hitler, the German Army, and their supposed "super weapons." What if Hitler had been assassinated? What if the U.S. Army had been the first to reach the Reichstag? What if Germany's prototype weapons made it to full production? Players may choose their allegiance and wage war to achieve an outcome uniquely their own.
