Product Information
Risk is based on the Parker Brothers board game of the same name. This version, however, also includes U.K. variations. Modes of play include: U.S. long game, U.S. short game, U.K. long game, and U.K. short game. Each game has minor variations based on a variety of categories: values of card sets, start territories, start armies, and bonus armies. There are also menus that allow for a variety of other rules to be set.

The object of every long game is to occupy every territory on a world map, 42 territories in all. Players receive an equal amount of armies and territories before the game begins (unless there are an odd number of players). Short games play the same but have a different objective. In the U.S. short game each player secretly selects a headquarters. A player loses when their headquarters is captured. Mission cards are the basis of the U.K. short game. Each player receives a card that contains a mission and the first one to complete their mission wins.

Each turn a player can attack as often as they wish or until they are down to only one army per territory. Attacks are done by rolling dice. Depending on the number of armies on a territory, one, two, or as many as three dies may be used. Higher values are stronger and cause the other territory to lose armies based on the number of dies used. Players take turns attacking until only one player has met the objective.Product Identifiers
