Almost 20% of British firms have stated that Italian is important in their business and British exporters also report that the Italians, with the French, are the most appreciative amongst our European trading partners, of foreign business people with some knowledge of their customers' language. However, what is lacking is a course book catering for students on vocational or in-company training courses with often only a limited aptitude for languages and a limited amount of time at their disposal. Pronto! meets this need. Pronto! follows the experiences of a British firm, MK Information Systems, as it negotiates a contract for the supply of computers to Lentini Spa, an Italian company based in Rome. It contains 10 units, each with a specific theme, developed through recorded dialogues, explanations of language, speaking, reading and writing skills. Complementary cassettes are also available.
