Compact and lightweight, the Promaster FTD5200 is a dedicated TTL flash unit compatible with Canon cameras. It has a guide number of 80 at ASA 100. Angle of coverage is 70 degrees horizontally and 53 degrees vertically, covering 28 mm lens on 35 mm cameras. Suitable for use as a fill-in flash, this Promaster flash for Canon balances ambient light for more even illumination. It is also useful as a bounce flash, capable of lessening harsh shadows that often result from direct illumination. The Promaster FTD5200 flash head can be tilted from a 7-degree downward flash position up to 90-degree position. This bounce flash produces soft, even lighting ideal for fashion or portrait photography. The Promaster flash for Canon is also useful as a macro flash and background slave unit. Powered by four AA batteries, the Promaster FTD5200 has 10-second recycling time.
