DTS delivers six (5.1) channels of output sound, offering superior reproduction of DTS-encoded materials ranging from subtle details to the high-powered sound effects. Simulated Surround Sound creates a phantom center channel, expand the front left and right channels and "place" virtual surround speakers around you, simulating the effects of a multichannel system. Digital AM/FM Stereo Tuner processes FM and AM radio broadcasts digitally, locking in on the signal for less drift and reduced distortion. It also allows for simple storage of station frequencies in convenient presets. Expanded Theater Mode broadens the size of the surround sound field, simulating a much larger space. Audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) recreates different sonic environments, simulating the acoustics of locations like arenas, churches, and clubs. Bass + Treble Controls allow you to adjust the bass (lower) and treble (higher) frequencies of the music to your own individual listening tastes. Coaxial Digital Input accepts the pure digital output from another digital product, such as a CD or DVD Player. Full Function Remote Control provides complete control of the unit from the comfort and convenience of your chair. Midnight Mode automatically adjusts the output level of all channels to allow greater enjoyment of home theater at low volume. A very useful feature when the kids are asleep.
