When installed in your vehicle, the Pioneer AVIC N3 car DVD player ensures that you have all the navigation and entertainment you need while you drive. This system does an admirable job as a portable DVD player thanks to its sizable 6.5-inch screen with 16:9 aspect ratio display. Pioneer has built in a number of features that ensure a seamless user experience for the entire family, including both driver and passengers. The Pioneer AVIC N3 features a touch panel display, anti-glare screen coating, and intelligent dimmer control for optimal viewing. The Pioneer unit allows you to switch between navigation map displays and audio displays with a manual source button for switching between audio sources. With an XM subscription, a preset button gives you instant traffic and weather information, which you can overlay onto the map display. This information includes traffic events and traffic flow to help you plan your trips. Within the GPS navigation system, software allows you to choose various view modes, including driver’s view, guide view, route view, and rear view. Review the manual for full descriptions of each view mode. The map data is provided on two DVD-ROMs, and the system provides multiple language display in English, Spanish, and French. As you drive, enjoy information about 11 million different points of interest with brand icons and shortcut keys. The system also includes one-year roadside assistance. Scroll your map and zoom in or out to change your map scale. Navigational coverage area provided by Pioneer includes continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. A Memory Navigation Mode gives you full navigation with the GPS navigation system while passengers enjoy a DVD or music. These units will prompt you with commands at crucial points to guide you through your trip. The Pioneer AVIC N3 also provides a fully functioning DVD and CD player for in-dash audio and video playback of DVD, CD, MP3, and CD text. The 3-band parametric graphics equalizer offers both high-pass crossover and subwoofer crossover for ultimate audio sound. As an audio receiver, the Pioneer AVIC N3 offers a multitude of audio and video capabilities. The unit has auxiliary input, AV-bus input, composite AV input and output, and dual zone audio/video. A number of optional accessories are available through Pioneer to expand the unit’s features. Optional accessories include a backup camera and a rearview camera mode. With an optional adapter, you can connect an iPod or other electronics device as a remote control for the navigation system. The iPod dock also enables seamless installation to control your iPod through the touchscreen display of the unit. The Pioneer AVIC N3 supertuner receiver gives you full access to AM and FM radio stations. The unit has a 24-station preset capability with six separate buttons. The electronics system is also compatible with digital radio with an XM radio subscription. The included manual provides full instructions for setting the radio station presets.
