Product Information
The Pinball of the Dead, the second such spin-off from Sega's House of the Dead light-gun games, is essentially a pinball game set against the backdrop of rotting zombies and all manner of undead creatures. Three pinball tables, called Cemetery, Movement, and Wondering, are available for selection and each houses its own set of traps, pitfalls, and mini-games. The objective is to obtain as high a score as possible before losing all the pinballs at your disposal. Unlike similar titles, however, points can be accumulated by hitting the zombies that haplessly wander about the table. Using the L and R trigger buttons to control the respective flippers, players must carefully coax the ball around the board, triggering events and mini-games as they do so.

Littered about the multi-tiered boards is an assortment of lights, tiles, and undead objects that, when activated, will grant access to one of six different boss characters; all of whom are lifted from the House of the Dead series. Each boss battle is prefaced by a short FMV clip from the House of the Dead games. Fail to defeat the boss and your ball will be jettisoned back to the main table area, requiring you to once again strike the correct elements to gain entry to the boss' arena. Prior to launching a ball into the playing field, you'll participate in what's known as Skill Shot, a basic mini-game in which your objective is to shoot a moving zombie when the constantly moving onscreen crosshair moves into position. Doing so will award the player with various bonuses. A tutorial mode is included to ease newcomers into the game, and four battery backup slots are provided for in-game saving.Product Identifiers
