The Quadro FX 4800 graphics card is manufactured predominately for those needing cards for their workstations rather than for gaming. This graphics card gives geophysicists, designers, scientists, engineers, and other technical professionals visual computing capabilities from their desktops. Professional applications take advantage of a Quadro FX 4800 advanced feature set that includes 1.5GB of frame buffering, which provides professionals the right set of tools to deliver results that push the realms of visualization.Inside the Quadro FX 4800 lies a GT200 D10U-20 GPU that utilizes 65-nanometer technology. Additionally, it contains 192 CUDA cores just like the NVIDIA 260. The card's memory ICs also use a 384-bit interface, allowing for even faster data transfer. The Quadro FX4800 packs 1.5 GB GDDR3 of GPU memory with an ultra-fast memory bandwidth. A massive 1.5GB frame buffer and memory bandwidth capabilities of up to 76.8 GB/sec deliver high throughput for interactive visualization of large models and high-performance for real time processing of large textures and frames.
