You can choose from pre-determined Scene Modes like portrait, landscape, child, sports, close-up, and night. The D3300 can also add special effects to your photos via the Effects Mode. Night vision, super vivid, pop, photo illustration, color sketch, toy camera, silhouette, HDR painting, or easy panorama help you to capture shots and bring your own artistic ability to the forefront. If you are interested in learning manual photography, you can switch to full manual control and experiment with different apertures. Set up your shot on the 3-inch screen, or use the viewfinder to look directly through the lens. Either way, the roomy screen gives you the ability to cycle through all of the image quality options, giving you full control over whatever subject you are shooting. Image quality and size, metering, ISO, white balance, flash and exposure compensation, focus, and autofocus are all accessed via the screen. In addition, the screen can be set to 11 stages of brightness and features a 160-degree viewing angle. Optional equipment can add Wi-Fi capability, and with a Nikon GP-1 accessory attached, you can easily geotag your photos and videos. The Nikon D3300 is fully compatible with all Nikon SLR lenses and teleconverters, and among the accessories kit included in the original packaging comes an 18-55mm lens. If the default lens does not work for you, just snap another lens onto your Nikon D3300 body.
