Since the dawn of time, the Celestial Heavens have been home to powerful beings who seek to create balance and peace in the entire universe. But there is never good without evil. Dearth Voyd, the Lord of Chaos, strives to bring war and violence to the universe. These two forces have been at odds forever with each being equal to the other, never gaining ground, and never truly winning the war. That is until the Stone Monkey Kongo came along.<br><br>Exploding out of the sky a meteor strikes the Earth. From the fiery wreckage comes the Stone Monkey, Kongo. As soon as he realized his whereabouts, he was made leader of the monkey tribe. Unbeknownst to him, Dearth Voyd saw a power in Kongo that could tip the scales in his favor. So while the Lords of Chaos wanted him as an ally, the gods of the Celestial Heavens saw Kongo as a threat. Never asking for his friendship, they decide to destroy him.<br><br>At first, he travels down the dark path but deep in his heart he realizes this is wrong. Now he is on the path to get divine power and to right the wrongs. Unfortunately, instead of just having the Celestial Heavens to deal with, he must also face the Lords of Chaos, too.<br><br>Based on the cartoon series, this 2D side-scrolling action game (with 3D elements) has you seeking out Master Subodye to learn the four magic spells: fire, freeze, shrink and strength. Use these powers in over 30 worlds (five levels featuring 28 scenes and 16 opponents) to gain items like the Power Rod in order to survive the game. Then travel the world to gain other magical items and defend your monkey friends from, well, everybody.<br><br>With a playful spin on one of the great Asian folk tales, Sunsoft's Monkey Magic is filled with martial arts moves, environments and exotic, Eastern melodies.
