In this translation of Atari's 1982 arcade hit, Millipede for the Atari 2600 will have you blasting the segmented insect as it makes its way down a mushroom patch. Your goal is to rack up points by destroying each segment before it reaches the bottom of the screen. One small problem -- unless you hit the head or tail of the Millipede, it will break into two individual insects! Other bugs will also appear at various points during play, including spiders, beetles, mosquitoes, bees, inchworms, dragonflies and earwigs. As if that weren't enough, some of these insects (bees, dragonflies and mosquitoes) will start swarming at different intervals! Millipede also features DDT capsules somewhere on the playing field, which will explode into clouds of gas whenever you shoot them. Should any bug touch the cloud before it dissipates, it will instantly die and you'll earn triple its point value. After you defeat the Millipede, play resumes on a faster level and the screen will change color. Want to jump right in on the action?
