Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X updates 1993's Mega Man X on Super NES with new visuals, characters, and environments. Players control the humanoid robot known as "X" and his friend Zero as they battle an aggressive mechanical army that has turned on its human creators. The game follows the traditional Mega Man format of side-scrolling action and the option to select stages in any order to defeat bosses. After destroying a boss, players can acquire its distinctive weapon and advance through previously inaccessible areas. <br><br>As X makes his way across hazard-filled subterranean, snowy, and underwater locales, he will be able to jump, dodge, dash, and spring from walls. Along the way players can collect upgradeable armor parts hidden within levels. Enhanced features designed for the PSP include 3D graphics, rearranged music and sound effects, and new cut-scenes complete with voiceovers. Fans of the original Mega Man X will discover new routes and item locations.
