Magellan Meridian Color is a versatile GPS receiver that is capable of presenting positioning and navigational data in full color. The GPS product is meant for serious navigators and people on the job. It provides superior tracking with three-meter accuracy. Magellan Meridian Color is also suitable for those going out for adventure because it makes the experience smooth and safe as they create a new route. Magellan Meridian Color handheld is a kit that includes Meridian Color GPS receiver, Road Mapping System, and Mapsend DirectRoute Automatic Car Navigation Systems. This GPS device has 16 colors. The map units for Color provide an array of GPS features for geocaching, hiking, and limited marine navigation ability. The product comes with GPS map unit, SD memory card, serial port for connecting directly to a computer, cigarette lighter adapter, windshield mount, and MapSend DirectRoute software in Magellan's GPS version. It is easy to operate the device, and a lot of waypoints are available on topo profiles. These profiles can be downloaded into Magellan Meridian Color with ease.Magellan Color presents all the advantages of GPS in a complete set of features. These features include Magellan Color with a metallic Champagne color, WAAS enabled with 12 channel receivers, navigation screens that can be customized (Position 1, Position 2, Satellite Status, Road, Large Data, Strip Compass, and Speedometer), Quadrifilar helix antenna, and a 16-color display screen that is fitted with 160 pixels by 120 pixels. Magellan Meridian Color is capable of storing up to 500 waypoints, 2000 track points, and 20 reversible routes. The waypoints, tracks, and routes can be saved or loaded to SD cards. Magellan Meridian Color has 12 coordinate systems that are built in, and it supports nine languages: German, Swedish, French, Finnish, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, English, and Portuguese.Magellan Meridian Color GPS system is intuitive and easy to use. All map instructions and any other relevant information, including how to utilize the maps, are available in the manual. Magellan Meridian Color is fitted with a fish and game calculator. This calculator screen enables a person to know when fish or other marine life are likely to be located. The sun and moon positions show when the sun will rise and set and the particular phase of the moon at any location in the world. The 2 AA batteries can provide power for 13 continuous hours of use. Optional accessories include suction auto mount, swivel auto mount, PC interface cable, combination cigarette lighter, computer interface and data cable, carrying case, Meridian Color external antenna receiver, and map CD-ROMs.The Magellan Meridian Color Handheld device can have its memory capacity increased. This makes it easy to download Mapsend Maps to SD cards with 16MB, 32MB, and 64MB. The product comes with a 16MB database of cities that are located in the United States, interstate highways, political boundaries, state highways, major waterways, fixed navaids, obstructions, airports, lighthouses, and buoys. The product has receiver alarms that signify arrivals, cross track errors, anchor, and GPS screen. The compass, traveling time, estimated time of arrival, and any deviations appear in real time.
