In The Lost World: Jurassic Park a hunter is trying to escape from Isla Sorna, the island home of the dinosaur park from the film. He is armed with a stun gun and unlimited ammunition to battle numerous hostile dinosaurs with. Aside from controlling the hunter, one level puts players in control of a friendly procompsognathus, a small dinosaur the movies often refer to as a "Compy." The majority of the 12 levels feature side-scrolling action with platform jumping, while the final level puts players behind the wheel of a vehicle as they must outrun a tyrannosaurus rex and dodge obstacles.
