Logical is a puzzle game in which players attempt to eliminate a series of gears by placing colored marbles into the four grooved slots found on each machine part. If all four marbles have the same color, the gear will explode. Play then resumes until all gears are removed from the screen, at which point a new level begins with a different arrangement and number of gears (ranging anywhere from four to 15).<br>The entire playfield consists of 30 squares with a horizontal pipe running across the top of the screen. Spheres empty out of the pipe onto the playfield and players can manipulate the gears in attempt to make a match or create a specific color sequence. Each level has a different objective, with bonus points being awarded for completing a puzzle within the time limit, solving it in a minimum of steps, or for various other achievements.
