The flash unit of the Kodak Advantix C400AF is designed to protect the flash element when it is not in use, while projecting the flash away from the lens to reduce red-eye when flash is necessary. Beginning photographers do not need to worry about whether flash is required thanks to the auto-flash technology of this point and shoot camera. In addition, this Kodak Advantix camera automatically rewinds film and the rear door locks until rewinding is complete to avoid accidental exposure of the film before it is developed.
