Kenwood's VR-205 is the least expensive of the company's line of receivers to be designated A/V. That means it can output a video signal as well as process Dolby Pro-Logic-encoded sources. Its 50 watt x 5 amplifier may not shake the paint off your walls but that's why they make powered subwoofers! The 205 also spots a good number of inputs 'round back, all selectable from its full-function remote control. Six-channel line inputs are ready to accept Dolby Digital signals from a DVD player with built-in decoding. And you won't need a separate preamp for your turntable, thanks to the designated phono appropriate input.
