It is your job to see that the chaos spreading across the globe is quelled.<br><br>Jane's Fleet Command is an aggressive 3D real-time strategy game that utilizes the latest information (c.1999) on all real-world military weaponry and assets to create a realistic simulation of modern naval warfare. Campaigns and mission scenarios are developed by naval professionals and are based on current headlines.<br><br>Features of the game include point-and-click gameplay, realistic weather and differing sea states, free multi-player gameplay against human opponents at www.janescombat.net or computer AI and a healthy assortment of weapon platforms from which to choose.<br><br>Players give orders to an entire battle group, ranging from fast frigates and Aegis guided missile cruisers to nuclear submarines, nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and the planes on each. A combat direction screen allows users to survey the whole operation, while a 3D screen allows you to zoom in close and follow the action in real time. The game is designed under a partnership between Jane's Combat Simulations and the experts at Sonalysts -- the same people who develop training software for the U.S. Navy.<br><br>Choose naval fleets, with 150 of the world's most advanced vessels, from sixteen nations. Available weapon platforms include cruisers, destroyers, frigates, submarines, carriers, E2C Hawkeye aircraft, S3 Viking, EA-6B Prowler, F-14 Tomcat, F/A-18-C Hornet and helicopters as well as assortments of missiles and torpedoes.<br><br>The game also comes with a Mission Editor that allows players to design their own scenarios, task forces and choose enemies.
