Product Information

Jak 3 for PS2 is the sequel to Jak II and has the player taking on two roles, as Jak and his companion Daxter. Daxter is an ottsel, a fictional animal that is a cross between an otter and a weasel, and these two protagonists are in the company of a few new characters in Jak 3. Some of the returning characters from the two prequels include Jak’s friend Keira and a mechanic and weapons designer called Tess. The plot of Jak 3 revolves around Jak and faithful companion Daxter, who is exiled to a dangerous, hostile wasteland where only the fittest can survive. This video game spans several new open worlds, from the end of the wastelands to Spargus city, Krimzon guard factory, Freedom League HQ, New Haven city, the ruins, monk temple and Metal Heads city, some of which harbour evil individuals with designs to end civilization. New improvised vehicles are needed to traverse the distances between these lands, aided by enhanced powers and weaponry that provide Jak with the necessary ammunition to defeat foes in the battle to save civilization. All these options and more are available to the player, offering vehicular combat, platforming and gun combat at various levels. The Hero mode option offers Jak 12 weapons and has greater difficulty levels. The game has a G 8+ rating from OFLC (Australia).
