When your PC gets too hot, this Intel product will automatically shut down so your desktop PC remains safe.This product uses Intel Precision Cooling technology to help keep your desktop PC cool. This technology automatically adjusts the speed of the fans based on the heat in your desktop computer. The D865GLC also includes a voltage sensor. If this Intel motherboard senses a dangerous voltage, it will stop your desktop PC from turning on.The D865GLC also includes an array of features tailored for the BIOS. The 4 Mbit symmetrical flash memory used by the BIOS allows you to update it. A BIOS update will unlock support for newer processors and fix small bugs. This Intel motherboard also has support for the System Management BIOS technology as well. Through the BIOS on the D865GLC, you can tweak and overclock various parts of your computer. You can also lock the BIOS on this Intel product to ensure that other users can't access it and edit your settings. You can even set up a BIOS password that will restrict users from booting your desktop computer. If you ever forget the password for your BIOS, you reset it directly from the motherboard itself.This Intel board supports an array of desktop Intel processor models. Any Intel Pentium 4 processor will work on this board. This product uses an Intel 865G chipset, which lets you run your hardware at maximum power. This board includes four memory sockets, with each socket supporting one stick of DDR RAM. You can place up to 4GB of RAM on this board at one time.The built-in audio on this board is also supported by the Intel 865G chipset.
