This volume has been designed to cover the A1 and A2 stages of the Higher National Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The contents correspond with much of the work in the Department of Education and Science outline syllabuses for HNC courses in England and Scotland and the text should also be useful for undergraduate CEI Part 1 and HND courses. This second edition has been updated to include recent developments in machinery and electronics.
