The Furuno GP36 is a marine GPS receiver that has a 4.5-inch screen with a keypad user interface. With a maximum horizontal accuracy of less than 16.4 feet, this device is sure to help keep any vessel on course. This Furuno GPS receiver features 12 channels for parallel tracking and precise plot-point recognition. With the ability to continue tracking while maintaining speeds of up to 900 knots, this compact device is a navigational powerhouse that remains accurate within ten feet. Available display modes for this GPS receiver include plotter (11 Plot Scales from 0.2 - 320 N.M.), NavData (position indication in latitude/longitude or loran-C TDs), steering (graphic vessel course, position and speed Information), highway (eight range scales from 0.2 - 16 N.M.), and analog- or digital-display speedometer. The Furuno GP36 includes several alarm systems, such as arrival, XTE, anchor watch, and high/low speed points. A key safety feature of the Furuno GPS receiver is the man overboard key, which allows the user to search the surrounding waters for a lost passenger. The Furuno GP36 boasts memory capacities of up to 1000 points of vessel track, 950 waypoints or marks, and 50 routes composed of up to 30 waypoints.
