Product Information
This horror collection contains six film in which the undead take on several different forms, terrorizing all those who get in their way. HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD: The plot of this kitschy Bruno Mattei-directed zombie film centers on a New Guinea chemical accident that attracts the attention of a SWAT team and a buxom reporter (Margit Evelyn Newton). When the SWAT team finally penetrates the chemical cloud, they find a race of flesh eating zombies hungry for fresh human food. Full of gratuitous nudity, stock footage of natives, animals, rotting corpses, and inane dialogue, HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD contains all the makings of a B-movie classic. DEAD HEAT: While investigating some frightening crimes that lead to a pharmaceutical company, officers Roger Morris (Treat Williams) and his partner Doug Bigelow (Joe Piscopo) pay a visit to Dante Laboratories. What they find shocks them and changes the course of their lives: a high-tech "resurrection room" that has been churning out a weird band of recycled and indestructible criminals, and which eventually transforms Mortis into the undead!NIGHTMARE CITY: Umberto Lenzi (CANNIBAL FEROX) directed this bizarre but popular zombie movie. It stars Hugo Stiglitz as Dean Miller, a television reporter who is covering a nuclear accident in a major city. When a mysterious plane makes an emergency landing near the accident site, Miller goes to cover the story and watches as a horde of flesh-eating zombies bursts out of the plane. Frightened by these super zombies, Miller grabs his wife and heads out of town. Unfortunately, the zombies follow him, leading to a showdown in an abandoned amusement park.CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD: After a priest commits suicide, a ghastly horror is unleashed on the quaint New England town of Dunwich. The rotting denizens of the local cemetery rise and walk the Earth. A journalist teams up with a psychic to send the dead back into the earth. If their race against time is lost, within three days all hell will break loose--literally. LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE: A couple traveling through the English countryside stop to get directions from a pair of Ministry of Agriculture workers who are testing an experimental device that will result in crop-damaging insects killing each other off. While they plan their next stop, a man who has been dead for several days attacks--to be followed shortly thereafter by a full-scale zombie invasion--which could very well be a result of the agriculturist's distribution of ultrasonic radiation. A macabre, atmospheric Spanish-Italian co-production featuring extremely convincing performances and a haunting score by Giuliano Sorgini, this film contains enough gut-munching gore scenes to satisfy most horror fans, as well as a refreshingly eerie finale.HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY: Dr. Norman Boyle (Paolo Malco) of the New York Historical Society accepts a research assignment abandoned by a colleague who has committed suicide. The project requires the researcher to take up temporary residence in a New England mansion, along with his wife, Lucy (Katherine MacColl) and their son, Bob (Giovanni Frezza). Norman discovers his colleague had become consumed with the history of the home's original owner, a turn-of-the-century surgeon named Dr. Freudstein who was fond of illegal experiments. Further investigation reveals Freudstein had found a way to stay alive by using cells derived from fresh human blood. The Boyles find out the hard way that the maggot-stuffed, undead doctor remains lurking in the shadows of the house, killing anybody who crosses his path.Product Identifiers
