Electronic Arts' FIFA Soccer series makes its 3DS debut with more than 500 licensed clubs, eight play modes, and optional touch-screen controls. Play as or against such stars as Kaká and Wayne Rooney, or create a custom athlete with your likeness. Custom players can earn a shot at stardom in the "Be a Pro" mode, beginning on the streets and eventually finding their way to a professional club. The arcade-style "3D Street" mode shows off the system's 3D effects with a curved pitch and lower camera viewpoint, with the five-on-five action taking place in various street locales as well as indoor environments.<br><br>Other game types include a tournament mode with more than 50 authentic competitions, an in-depth career mode, and training mode that lets you learn the ins and outs of the controls. While players can guide their onscreen athletes using the analog stick and buttons, the game also supports the lower touch screen for targeting and drawing your shots for more precise passing and shooting. Nine different camera angles are available to customize your view of the action. Head-to-head matches against friends are also supported via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
