The hero's well-deserved retirement is postponed, however, when a group of ornery aliens invades and starts trashing his new place. Who better to deal with these unwelcome guests than the mighty Duke Nukem himself?<br><br>This episode in the ongoing saga of everyone's favorite wise-cracking, gun-toting, testosterone-laden action hero is provided by Take 2 Interactive, which acquired the rights to the series from former Duke Nukem publisher Infogrames (later known as Atari, Inc.). The game is based on technology developed for the Unreal game engines, designed to feature smooth graphics with lots of detailed lighting and effects. First announced in the late 1990s, Duke Nukem Forever has undergone an unusually long development period. Concerning the expected release date of the game, 3D Realms' George Broussard has offered the now-famous projection, "when it's done."
