Discoursing With The Gods draws on forty years' experience with Crowley's cards. It provides a brief introduction to thinking in terms of yin and yang, synchronicity, Jungian archetypes, the Grail quest and the Parsifal legend. Then it takes the reader through all 78 cards. The meaning of each card is quickly highlighted for easy reference; then further elaborated. The book ends with a "Tarot Reading for The New Aeon" and for the philosophically adventurous "The Naples Arrangement," a cosmo-psycho-geometric introduction to the Qabalistic Tree of Life. The chapter called "Reading for The New Aeon" exhibits Tarot in action. It tells a poignant story. It shows how Tarot works. It shows how to heal our contemporary global situation. Although placed near the end, it is in fact a good place to begin.
