DC-3 enhances Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 by giving armchair pilots the ability to step into the cockpit of the famed aircraft. Developed by DC-3 pilots and an aviation consultant, DC-3 provides players with ten different vintage airplanes complete with cockpit panels, gauges, flaps, and flying characteristics and handling. To be a successful pilot, players will need to take on emergency landings, bad weather conditions, and ten challenging missions. Adding to the mix are a diverse selection of terrain and environments, 3000 airports, night flights, auto-pilot, and multiplayer support. Included as a bonus is a CD-ROM featuring a 20-minute documentary about the DC-3, as well as Windows 95 wallpaper and sound files.
