Product Information

Brain Strainers contains two musical mini-games designed to enhance the memory and listening skills of ColecoVision gamers. "Follow the Leader" functions in much the same way as Milton Bradley's popular "Simon" toy, asking gamers to listen to series of musical tones and watch the screen while corresponding color panels are illuminated. Players must then reproduce the same series of musical notes, with the patterns increasing in complexity, and the lights eventually ceasing to flash, until gamers miss a note. The "Clef Climber" mini-game aims to improve pitch recognition by playing a reference note and then a related tone, then asking players to match the related note. The reference notes disappear at higher levels, leaving gamers to guess the single note using only their sense of pitch.
