Boss Rally puts you in the driver's seat of your own customized race car and provides challenges of speed and dexterity on several levels. This arcade style game features 16 customized cars and offers six varied tracks on which to compete. Three driving perspectives are available while playing and include first-person, chase and cockpit views. A fourth perspective, the sideline view, can be used for watching others race. <br><br>There are four major modes of game play in Boss Rally. Championship mode pits you against 19 other computer-controlled drivers in a seasonal format that is geared to allow you to unlock additional tracks and cars for use in other modes of play. Multiplayer mode accommodates up to eight players via the Internet or a LAN or two players linked by serial ports or over a modem. A single-player mode, Time Attack, allows you to race the clock and try to better your best times while the Quick Race mode provides a one-on-one challenge against a single computer-controlled car. <br><br>Boss Rally contains other features such as multiple camera views, varying environmental weather conditions, day or night driving, choice of automatic or manual transmission, car setup options (shocks, tires, steering, etc.) and off-road racing. The game interface supports mouse, keyboard, gamepad and joystick options and requires a 3dfx accelerator card.
