This Belkin 125 Mbps wireless router features HSM (High Speed Mode) wireless connectivity to facilitate the sharing of one internet connection among several wireless-enabled devices within a specified indoor wireless range area extending up to 200 feet. The Belkin 4-Port router features a setup wizard which makes it easy for the user to install and configure the router, and offers a choice of several security options including WPA (Wireless Protected Access) and WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) using 64-bit/128-bit data encryption. The Belkin wireless G router has a built-in 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch with a built-in NAT/SPI firewall. Users can store, retrieve, copy and share documents, music, video and digital pictures on several computers or devices within the same wired/wireless network using the Belkin 4-Port router. Homes and small business offices will benefit from this Belkin router, which features a built-in USB print server enabling shared broadband or DSL Internet access, so that networked devices can print wirelessly to a connected USB printer. The Belkin 125 Mbps wireless router supports two high-speed modes: 125 HSM mode and Frame Bursting Mode. The Belkin wireless G router uses HSM mode, which allows all devices capable of 125 Mbps, to operate at that high speed. If networked devices do not have the capacity for HSM, the devices will operate at Frame Bursting Mode (normal 802.11 g speed). The Belkin 125 Mbps wireless router operates on a frequency band of 2.4 GHz using an external antenna and meets compliance standards for IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g.
