Ballz: The Director's Cut improves upon one of the first console 3D fighters available, with arenas featuring full 3D movement, as well as shinier ball graphics and sound. In addition, the aptly named character 'Zombie' has been added to the roster of eight standard characters and ten bosses. Characters range from the spitting and farting caveman Kronk, to the superhero Turbo, and Bounder the Kangaroo. Each character is composed of a series of colored balls, and a total of 800 moves are available, including basic and special attacks, and ball-busting fatalities. Arenas are filled with video billboards adding humorous lowbrow commentary to the matches.
