It offers both remote I/O wiring connections and 24V DC power wiring connections. It has a 24V DC power supply with an 8-input output module capacity. Its network uses a universal remote FLEX I/O where the module capacity is 8. This adapter module has a communication rate of 57.6 Kbps, 115.2 Kbps, and 230.4 Kbps. This adapter module nicely interfaces with FLEX I/O modules and the FLEX I/O scanner port and spans across your network. It contains a built-in power supply that converts 24VDC to 5VDC. This allows the backplane to power FLEX I/O modules. Standard and standard-32 are used when you need full functionality from your FLEX input-output module. Compact, complementary, and complementary-32 are used when you do not need this full functionality. In each mode, there is a different level of information that the processor receives.
