This Adtran NetVanta router is a device with enhanced performance that can be used on multiple networking devices suitable for combined VoIP and Internet access with a business connectivity orientation. The Adtran NetVanta 6355 router is a compact platform, but integrates such features as VPN appliance, 24-port Layer 3 Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch with 24 ports, a modular IP access router with a wireless access point, and a Stateful Inspection Firewall. The LAN interfaces of this 24-port gigabit wired router are 10 Base-T, 1000 Base-T, and 100 Base-TX, and the WAN interfaces are one 10 Base-T/100 Base-TX and one RJ-45 for ADSL connections. The Adtran NetVanta router is compatible with IEEE 802.1 Q industry standard. The general protocol of the Adtran NetVanta router is FRF.12, HDLC, MLPPP, PPPoA, UDP, FRF.12, IP, PPP, and Frame Relay. The wireless security features of the Adtran NetVanta 6355 router are 802.1x, AES, and DES. This 24-port gigabit wired router combines the Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch and the voice capabilities of Adratan's Total Access 900e IP Business Gateway into a single compact unit.
