Author BiographyJuliette Mayers is an author, award-winning executive, business strategist, and a passionate community advocate. In 2010, Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick appointed her to the Massachusetts Workforce Investment Board, a state-wide policy making board that advises the governor on workforce investment. She is emeritus Board President of Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), a $150 million anti-poverty organization and the largest community action agency in the country. A networking guru, speaker, writer and mentor, her new book A Black Woman's Guide to Networking, provides inspiration and practical advice to help women who seek to effectively navigate the often isolated business terrain and achieve their dreams. A native of Barbados, West Indies, Mayers' earned her MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management. She resides in the Boston area with her husband, Darryl and their two daughters.
