It’s actually a C-clarinet barrel, but otherwise is as described: 40mm and the sockets fit my 1978 Buffet C. I mean, you *could* put it on a Bb and it would fit. At 40mm, the space between the mouthpiece and first joint is ridiculously small, but that’s what I needed to get my horn in tune with a Bb mouthpiece. I don’t think there’s enough meat there to even affect the sound quality. I have no idea how the thin ringless joints will hold up Overall, for a fast and dirty grab-and-go, it is good.
