    These cookers are very old. the seal around the lid is important and out of the three I have received, all the seals are so old you can't remove them to clean or replace. Sad, my original one of 30 years was cleaned every time I used it; therefore, it was flexible rubber. The top that holds pressure and releases it, was gone.....thank God I saved my old one. Used it yesterday and soup is great, but it's just not my old cooker.
