The advantage of optical media is that they are very robust. If necessary, they can even survive several weeks in water after a flood. I experienced this four years ago. You are also protected from ransomware, as the write-once data carriers cannot be changed afterwards. I have had a very good experience with this friendly seller and have now purchased my second BD drive from Pioneer.
