The SPI firewall of the 2Wire router protects users from having valuable information stolen by hackers. The wireless G router features secure broadband connectivity for more powerful browsing speeds. The 2Wire 1800HG router also uses a HyperG 802.11g wireless access point to provide greater range and extended power. The wireless G router only weighs 1.4 lbs and has a height of 10 inches, a depth of 8 inches, and a width of 2 inches. It has an ATM adaption layer 2 and 5 and it can support up to 10 PVCs. The 2Wire router is a four-port router that allows the connection of multiple computers either directly or through hubs, which is useful in business networking. The 2Wire 1800HG router uses static routing protocol and HTTP remote management protocol. The 2Wire router uses standard encryption of 128 bits, which is considered sufficient for protecting valuable or sensitive information. It has multi-IP support and is a DHCP client to obtain the IP addresses for the computers in the network.
