This is perfect for the reason I bought it, and that is to sew it into one of those straw woven Japanese garden hats that look like a pagoda roof. Many of these hats come with a little skull shaped structure built into them, but some of them are old enough whereby that structure is gone and you have to find something else to sew in there and these work absolutely perfectly cause they still breathe.
