Seller Notes: “Good condition for its age, blank on reverse with a centerfold as issued, a double creased corner ... “Good condition for its age, blank on reverse with a centerfold as issued, a double creased corner in upper left, not affecting image. Otherwise, it is very clean on a strong buff page with light tonal ageing and slight darkening around the edges, very strong color with handcolor outlining of counties. The map image measures approximately 8 1/2 by 10 1/4 inches (22x27cm) on a 10 by 12 1/2" page (25x32cm). It is an original engraved antique map approximately 154 years old with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. It is from the Atlas to accompany Chambers's Encyclopaedia (Philadelphia: Lippincott, 1869), a copy of the title page is included. A very nice map with a classical look and great color that would frame up well, see the pics for more on condition.”
