The actual condition of the lens seems to be worse than the seller's description. The term 'near mint' may be less certain, but the seller's photos were definitely taken from well-chosen and profitable angles. In fact, there are some major scratches on the lens surface (one even on the polycarbonate AF scale window), which were very effectively hidden by the choice of photo angles.
