Bound in the publisher's pictorial paper-covered boards with a red cloth spine. Colour illustration laid onto the front board. Very good conditiona little rubbing and bumping to the boards, This Book Belongs To panel neatly filled in, occasional light marks here and there, mainly clean. A book of stories for boys, beginning with William the Silent by G. Lusignan, a story of a boy who volunteers for the Navy at the outbreak of war and is, naturally, heroic. Other stories are A Bout with A Bear by Colonel F. Markham, and an aviation story, Touch and Go by Stacey Blake among others, including an extract from Don Quixote. The book is illustrated with three full-colour plates and many line drawings throughout. Quite uncommon. 23 cm, 9 inches, tall.”
