Seller Notes: “Collins' Clear-Type Press, undated but 1929, first edition. Bound in the publisher's yellow cloth ... “Collins' Clear-Type Press, undated but 1929, first edition. Bound in the publisher's yellow cloth with titles and decorations in gilt on the spine and top board. Good condition, with the gilt dulled, more so on the spine. The spine cloth is faded and there are some small repairs at the head and foot. Gift inscription on the front endpaper, dated Xmas 1929. Some repairs to the gutter between the endpaper and the half title, and the first few pages have punctures for stitching along the inside edges. In the text block there are a few short closed tears, repaired, a very few tiny unrepaired closed tears, and the very occasional small mark. The book is mainly nice and clean and bright. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and numerous line drawings throughout, both full-page and within the text. Rare. 21cm, 8.25 inches, tall, 302 pages.”
