I was surprised how much difference the lens hood made concerning the light. I just repaired the gimbal on my MINI SE, and this hood also works for protection. On my drone, the hood prevents the front feet from touching, just barely, but enough to function as a landing gear as well. It gives the drone a narrow landing footprint, making it easier to land on smaller targets. It looks both cool, and professional. Might even scoop a little extra air into the battery compartment.
