The curling iron arrived in good working order, but I am pretty sure that it was not completely new. There was no instruction manual included in the box (I previously purchased this same curling iron for my daughter, and hers had an instruction), and there were marks and fingerprints along the metal barrel that indicate that someone had tried it out. All that aside, it's a great little travel aid and I appreciate the prompt delivery!
