- w***h (428)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseRod snapped after first fish caught. Beware if it's not manufacturing fault you're warranty is invalid. Hamachi rods are overrated.Reply from: petermont80- Feedback replied by seller petermont80.- Feedback replied by seller petermont80.Hi, Product warranties cover manufacturing defects, not accidents...EG, if a car is involved in a crash, an insurance policy—not the manufacturer’s warranty—would handle the claim...Similarly, a rod broken due to an accident/misuse is not covered by warranty...As a goodwill gesture, we offered a big discount on a replacement tip section...Additionally, certain home insurance policies cover accidental damage, such as breaking a rod by stepping on it. Maybe check if your situation is covered.
