    Very useful gadget! This is a latching switch - there is 12V output on the white wire when ON, else no (zero V) output when OFF. Might work directly for you (12V output), or to drive a 12V relay coil, which could have its own contact configuration. Very good range from the remote to the switch. Position of the blue antenna wire can affect this range some. Mine is located under my car hood, but still works from within the car and from 20 feet (all I have tested it) approaching from outside.
