It just loaded to the menu when you don't have a disk inserted. I had a disc in trying to play it. So, I opened it and cleaned the board and laser lens a little. I also removed and re-inserted the ribbon cables on the board. That seemed to have done the trick and it worked fine after. It actually works great!
