Product Information
A fairly tame shooting-gallery entry from Data Age, Bugs gives players the mission of maneuvering their paddle-controlled crosshairs across the screen horizontally, wiping out as many bugs as they can before they reach the top of the screen. Also appearing from time to time is a far more dangerous "Phylax" device, which will appear green and immobile at first before turning red and trying to make contact with the player's crosshairs; it can only be destroyed by a shot from the player's gun without allowing it to come into contact. A simple yet visually appealing game, Bugs really only uses the top half of the screen, and it's a real challenge trying to keep tabs on the crawling critters while also trying to take out the Phylax. Bugs won't keep anyone tied up for hours, but it's an amusing diversion.
