    The device did require some minor modification to fit into the space BMW provides for this accessory. I had to shave the the sides as it is a bit too large to bit the BMW opening. Overall it's a millimeter too big on each side. Good thing I'm a mechanically inclined, so I made it fit with destroying the clean look of it. Otherwise nice unit fitting my Phone to it saves the expense of buying the BMW GPS.
